Organic Agriculture : Easy methods to Develop

Seeing our society from days gone by centuries as much as today’s, it’s very much evident there are several developments that took place. Because of these developments, life has become complicated. As a result of complication, folks have overlooked the issues brought about by developments due to the glittering gold and silver that supposed developments offer.

Among the issues which have been overlooked for days gone by decades are the environmental problems which are becoming worse as the years passed by. Several environmental problems which we’re facing at this time are the outcomes of agricultural malpractices because of not enough education.

Among the environmental problems may be the continuous destruction of the soil because of excessive utilization of inorganic fertilizers that has กรมส่งเสริมการเกษตร resulted to soil infertility. An evidence to justify this fact may be the gradual extinction of wild plants that have been before, just sprout from the soil without human interventions. Another problem may be the contamination of the water source and air because of excessive utilization of pesticides and other chemicals which are being used to spray the plants. As a result, clean water are becoming lesser which also contribute to the spread of communicable diseases. Something more, may be the increasing quantity of pests and diseases to both plants and animals and even humans. Because of these problems, some folks from the agricultural industry propose organic agriculture believing that this would at the very least lessen these problems.

Organic agriculture is a holistic production management that discourages the usage of synthetic pesticides, fertilizers and genetically modified organisms. Purposively, it’d contribute to the lessening of air soil and water pollutions, and maximizes the healthiness of the interdependent communities of plants animals and humans. Which means that there should be a balance in the environment whereby none of the living organisms would out number the other. This is because through organic agriculture, the lives of the beneficial micro-organisms are preserved to prevent the flourishing of pests and diseases that destroy the said interdependent communities. They are called interdependent communities because as the term “interdependent” imply, plants, animals and humans rely on one another to be able to survive. Plants emit oxygen and food to humans and animals. On another hand, animals and humans emit co2 and waste products for the plants to use in food processing or photosynthesis. Yet another thing to be provided with attention is the balance quantity of preys and predators in the environment. Put simply the food chain cycle should not be disturbed because if which will happen there’ll be a dominance of just one population which brings about food scarcity for another population. For instance, if the farmers continuously use synthetic pesticides, small organisms is going to be killed which brings about growing quantity of pests because no other organisms that could eat them. As a result of this, plants that serve as the food for humans and animals is going to be destroyed by these pests. That is why organic agriculture is reported to be the answer for food scarcity as time goes on to come.

For organic agriculture in the future the truth is, farmers should be educated about the proper practices in agriculture. In fact, in the Philippines, you can find certain radio programs and television programs allotted for the promotion of organic agriculture. Other than that, seminars are also conducted by experts in agriculture. Additionally, there are cooperatives which are being established to appeal to the requirements and address the issues of the farmers. Other than that are the various government programs which are implemented to different parts of the country. But most importantly may be the cooperative effort on the list of sectors in the society in promoting and supporting the implementation of organic agriculture practices. On the list of sectors in the society that will exert more effort may be the education sector with the facilitation of educational institutions especially with State universities or any university that provides agricultural courses.
